Oklahoma! OK!

Waiting on my flight to OK to see my mom and help my sister.

June started out with a kick. My mom went into the hospital in May as an infection turned into sepsis. She is currently on hospice with stage four breast cancer. My sister had been managing things for two weeks and through prayer and conversation, my husband and I made the decision for me to fly to my mother’s and help out as best as I can. I will continue to add to this post as time goes by.

The time has come for a transition. My mother, who has been living independently and alone down the road from my sister, is at a crossroads. We know that God will miraculously heal her so she can live alone, will take her home to be with Him, or will have us wait until His appointed time. In the waiting, my sister and I are transitioning my mother into an assisted living facility. This means that we have to downsize her home and belongings and get everything moved over by July 1st. We are also adjusting daily to her health needs and working closely with the local hospice team from Cross Timbers. Sherry, Tiara, and I are the family care team. I am currently living in Oklahoma while my family is in Italy until this transition finishes.

Praying at Lake Murray and enjoying some beautiful solitude.

Please pray:

*Harmony with family as we work together

*Health and life for my mother and Wisdom to recognize it even when it doesn’t look like what we were expecting

*Heart and honor for the people standing in front of me
