Moriarty Missions Begins
Hi,
We are John & Rachael Moriarty. We would like to introduce ourselves. We are retired military. John worked with the US Navy as a musician for 20 years and recently retired last May. We were stationed in Italy for 5 years from 2014-2019. The last two years we were there, we helped plant a church called, Celebration Italia. In addition to Celebration Italia, we helped establish a homeschool community there called Classical Conversations of Naples. We have six children, five girls and one boy. Our four youngest children will be accompanying us back to Italy. Our oldest daughter works in WA in ministry at the church we helped plant, called Empowered Foursquare Church. Our second oldest daughter is going to college in CA. We will be returning to Italy March 26th, 2025, as a tentmaker missionary. This term means that we will be working on site in business along with accomplishing the ministry that the Lord has commissioned us to do. We secured our Italian visa because we launched an online education business, called Classical Tools 4 Change LLC and plan to grow the business while working as missionaries. There are three main purposes of why we are returning to Italy: to plant a prayer team, to support the current teams working in antihuman trafficking, and to serve the US military presence in Naples while living life.
Our first purpose of returning is to plant a ministry prayer team through Freedom Encounters, that aids in the deliverance and inner healing of the people there in Italy. We have partnered with this ministry for 4 years now and are excited to introduce the tools and support needed for all people to engage in spiritual warfare, walk in healing, and grow in intimacy & identity of the Father.
Our second purpose is to aid and support the current work combating human trafficking in Italy that is already taking place. Our primary focus is to aid Joyce and Herb Zick, who have been serving on site as missionaries for 7 years. We will also serve other organizations teamed up with Herb and Joyce, like Missione di Luce and Ogni Nuova Cosa, street ministries to aid trafficked women, and the Alba Run for Recovery, which is a yearly fundraiser for the Alba Safe House, a long-term recovery home for the women who are able to get out of the network.
Our final purpose is to the US American military while we live life and meet the needs of our family. We plan to serve PWOC, Protestant Women of the Chapel, Celebration Italia, and Classical Conversations of Naples, in addition to any other organization that the Lord opens up to us. We see life and everything we do as ministry and we are honored to serve and support the families stationed there, which will be apart of our local community.
